The Last Outpost Ranch

The Last Outpost began raising Boer Goats in 2004.  After Greg and Joan Galan retired to the Texas Hill Country they needed a type of livestock for their 65 acre ranch.  After many hours of research, we determined that goats would be the most suitable livestock for their type of terrain.    We wanted to start our herd with the best genetics available.  They contacted the  local county extension agent who is also a wether judge.  Our agent introduced us to the president of the Boer Goat Association, who at that time was Mr. Bob Duke.  Our Herd was started by hand picking our does and bucks from his recommendations.  Our main sire buck is EGGS Santana. We have found that using the expertise of experts in the field enabled us to achieve exceptional standards and correct body type from the start.

After four long years of work in the boer goat industry,  Greg & Joan Galan have decided to stops raising goats in Bandera, Texas and have decided to spend some time traveling together.  After much consideration, I have decided to move the herd to my property in New Caney, Texas, where I will continue to produce quality animals from the stock that Greg and Joan have put together over the last four years.  

Our herd is a blend of Full blood and Percentage does. With genetics such as EGGSFILE, EGGSORCIST, MZURI, GAR ADUWA-SASQUATCH, TOP GUN NO 2, EGGSTREME, UROBA, 5CG MOCEPHUS, 5CG BOCEPHUS, HERSHEY'S JET BLACK, EDSR JAKE, JET BLACK SPADE, KAPTAIN,  J.C. VENTER, KERI DOWNS, FJ. VAN ZYL and, PIP NIEUWOUDT.
